New Mazda CX-60 PHEV flagship is on the way

Mazda has announced Irish prices starting from €49,500 for its new CX-60 flagship SUV, which it says is available to order now for delivery in the autumn.
The new model is being offered in four trim grades, Prime-Line, Exclusive-Line, Homura, and Takumi.
This new CX-60 is Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid technology powertrain SUV in Europe, which combines a Skyactiv-G 2.5, four-cylinder direct injection petrol with a large, 100kW electric motor, a new eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 355V,17.8kWh high-capacity battery. This combination of engine and motor promises to deliver a total system output of 327PS/241kW and abundant torque of 500Nm. Mazda boasts that this makes it the most powerful road car Mazda has ever produced.
The Mazda CX-60 PHEV achieves 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds. Its WLTP combined fuel consumption is 1.5l/100km, and WLTP combined CO2 emissions of 33g/km. The Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv PHEV offers 63km of motor-powered driving with the vehicle running at 100km/h or less.
With wireless CarPlay from Apple and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, and navigation assistance, Mazda claims the CX-60 Prime-Line offers a wide range of attractive features. Furthermore, it says the interior is backed up by many safety features – from blind spot monitoring and parking sensors to smart city break support.
The Mazda CX-60 Exclusive-Line is priced at €51,500 and offers the same infotainment features as the Prime-Line, but offers an extra level of comfort thanks to the heated steering wheel and front seats. The convenience of smart keyless entry is also offered.
Meanwhile, the Mazda CX-60 Homura is priced at €54,750 and offers many attractive extras to create an extra sporty appearance. This trim boasts black leather seats, ambient lighting, and rear foot lamps, while drivers can tailor their experience further with the driver personalisation system and additional convenience and comfort features.
At the top of the new Mazda CX-60 range is the €56,350 Takumi, which features white Nappa leather interior, 20-inch black machined alloy wheels and body-coloured mirrors, combined with chrome plated signature wing grille treatment and side window surround, while the gloss black bar type radiator grille design is another feature unique to this flagship grade.
